Please follow these instructions before taking the GlycoCheck Test Scan for an accurate MICROVASCULAR HEALTH SCORE™. Failure to do so will give inaccurate results. In addition, please be sure to read the questions and answers below these instructions:
• Do wait to test, if flying, for one day (24 hours), after your flight arrives (ideally).
• Do Not eat or drink, anything, other than water, for 6 hours prior to your test.
• Do Not exercise for 12 hours before your test.
• Do Not consume alcohol for 24 hours before your test.
• Do drink at least 32 ounces (one quart) of water, 1 hour before your test.
• Do Not drink any caffeine the day of your scan.
• Do relax for 10-15 minutes (to reduce any level of stress) prior to your test.
• Refrain from using any Pulsed Electro Magnetic (PEMF) technology 24 hours before a test
• For females, it is best to not take the GlycoCheck test during the week of your monthly menstrual cycle (potential hormonal issues in obtaining an accurate Microvascular Health Score).
• Lastly, do relax for 10-15 minutes prior to your test (to reduce any level of stress).
Q. Why do we need to fast for 6 hours before taking the GlycoCheck scan?
A. When you eat, much of the blood in your body gets pulled to your gut to help with digestion.
Q. How does this affect the Microvascular Health Score™?
A. Digestion pulls blood from the mouth area, which is where the camera is situated, so there are
not as many active vessels to record, thereby not being able to show the true density of your
vessels, thus negatively affecting your overall score.
Q. Will recent dental work and/or gum issues affect the Microvascular Health Score™?
A. This will depend on the dental work and/or the gum tissues. Good dental health is necessary
for an accurate score because the video microscope is placed in the mouth and under the tongue.
Good vascularity is necessary for a true overall systemic score. If the mouth has poor vascularity
from dental issues and/or poor dental hygiene, it will be very hard to get an accurate scan
because there will not be as many vessels to record.
